Improving your operator’s skill, knowledge and ability is what matters.

Makino offers our customers a number of formal training opportunities on selected topics and products. Content is based on specific skill sets and objectives and is designed to transfer a working knowledge and understanding of the machine tool system and related processes. Our training centers are located in Mason, OH; Auburn Hills, MI; Elgin, IL; Waukesha, WI; and Querétaro, Mexico. Training can also be conducted per request at one of our other centers in Los Angeles, CA; Union, NJ; Erie, PA: Wichita, KS; Mississauga, ON. Makino training credits may be provided with the machine purchase based on machine type and machine purchase agreement.


These credits must be used during the first year after purchase. Training for additional personnel or after the standard first year period is on a tuition basis.


Training credits on EDM and milling machines are determined by the terms of the purchase proposal. Customers wishing to enroll in Machining Center Training should refer to their purchase proposal for training credit detail. Additional training is on a tuition basis.

Public Training

Makino offers a wide variety of scheduled classes, which span production-related topics from maintenance to programming and operations. Read more >>
